On Saturday, May 4, 2024 the Kern Fire Safe Council, Kern County Fire Department and the US Forest Service will be hosting a Wildfire Awareness Day in Kernville, CA. This year’s theme will be “Building a Fire Resilient Future.” The event will promote wildfire preparation, home hardening, defensible space, your footprint in the forest, and community safety in the event of a wildfire.
